Doctoral programme in advanced materials
On completion of the taught programme, you’ll join a research mission aligned with key global challenges, working alongside fellow students and leading academics from both universities. Taught modules and research
The 4-year PhD programme will begin with 6 months of taught modules, before spending the remaining time in the CDT working on your chosen PhD project, alongside other CDT students involved in the same research mission and your academic supervisory team.
Year One
Months 1 – 6 consists of a Taught programme, followed by the start of your research project.
Years Two to Four
During Years Two to four, you'll focus on your PhD research project, with additional skill development opportunities in your final year.
